How do we collect your data?

Some data is collected by the IT systems automatically or with your consent when you visit the website. This is technical data (internet browser, time of page view, etc.), which is collected automatically when you visit the website.

Other data is collected when you provide it to us, for example by entering it in a contact form.

What do we use your data for?

We mainly collect and use your personal data only to guarantee the error-free functioning of the website. Some data may also be used to analyse your user behaviour.

What rights do you have?

You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data at any time. You also have the right to have this data corrected or deleted. If you have given your consent to data processing, you can withdraw this at any time. You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. You also have the right to complain to the responsible supervisory authority.

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Right to object to the collection of data in special cases and to direct advertising (Art. 21 DSGVO)

If data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e or f DSGVO, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this privacy policy. If you lodge an objection, we will no longer process your personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) DSGVO). Right to lodge a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority

In the event of violations of the DSGVO, the persons concerned have a right of appeal to a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged violation. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

Right to data transferability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

Information, correction and deletion

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if necessary, a right to correction or deletion of this data at any time. You can contact us at any time with regard to this and other questions on the subject of personal data. Right to restriction of processing You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time to do this. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the review, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.
  • If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it for the exercise, defence or assertion of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its erasure.
  • If you have lodged an objection in accordance with Art. 21 para. 1 DSGVO, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data – apart from its storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.

2. DATA COLLECTION ON OUR WEBSITE

COOKIES

Our website partly uses so-called cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called ‘session cookies’. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain services that you have requested or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services.

If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG); the consent can be revoked at any time. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted. You can find out which cookies and services are used on this website in this privacy policy.

SERVER LOG FILES

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are

– Browser type and browser version

– Operating system used

– referrer URL

– Host name of the accessing computer

– Time of the server enquiry

– IP address

This data cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – the server log files must be recorded for this purpose.

ENQUIRY BY E-MAIL, PHONE OR FAX

If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, your enquiry including all personal data (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO if your enquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO) if this has been requested; consent can be withdrawn at any time.

The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

In the case of job applications, the application data is collected and processed electronically by INMATEC Technologies GmbH for the purpose of handling the application procedure. This also includes the internal forwarding of the applicant profile to the responsible department.

The legal basis for the collection and processing of the data is based on a legal basis for the purposes mentioned (§ 26 BDSG n.F.; Art. 88 DSGVO, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b), DSGVO, Art. 9 para. 2 lit. b) DSGVO) and is necessary for the implementation of the selection procedure.

If the job application is rejected, the transmitted data will be deleted automatically two months after notification of the rejection. This does not apply if a longer storage period of up to four months or the conclusion of legal proceedings is required due to legal requirements (burden of proof under the General Equal Treatment Act, AGG).

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO or § 24 para. 1 no. 2 BDSG.

The provider has a legitimate interest in legal defence.

If explicit consent has been given to store the data in a database of interested parties for a longer period, the data will be processed further on the basis of the consent and deleted after 12 months at the latest.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO. Consent to this can be revoked at any time for the future in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 DSGVO by notifying the provider.

X

Our website uses social plugins (“plugins”) from the social network X, which is operated by X Corp, 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103 USA.

You can recognize the X plugins by the X logo on our site.

We would like to point out that you use the X short messaging service offered here and its functions at your own risk. This applies in particular to the use of the interactive functions (e.g. sharing, rating).

X Corp. has committed itself to the principles of the EU-US Privacy Shield.

We have no influence on the type and scope of the data processed by X Corp., the type of processing and use or the transfer of this data to third parties.

By using X, your personal data will be collected, transferred, stored, disclosed and used by X Corp. and transferred to, stored and used in the United States, Ireland and any other country in which X Corp. does business, regardless of your country of residence.

On the one hand, X processes your voluntarily entered data such as name and user name, email address, telephone number or the contacts in your address book when you upload or synchronise it.

On the other hand, X also analyses the content you share to determine which topics you are interested in, stores and processes confidential messages that you send directly to other users and can determine your location using GPS data, information on wireless networks or your IP address in order to send you advertising or other content. Finally, X also receives information when you view content, for example, even if you have not created an account. This so-called ‘log data’ may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, information about the website and pages you have previously visited, your location, your mobile phone provider, the device you are using (including device ID and application ID), the search terms you have used and cookie information.

Via X buttons or widgets integrated into websites and the use of cookies, X is able to record your visits to these websites and assign them to your X profile. This data can be used to offer you customised content or advertising. Due to the fact that X Corp. is a non-European provider with a European branch only in Ireland, it is not bound by German data protection regulations in its own opinion. This concerns, for example, your rights to information, blocking or deletion of data or the possibility of objecting to the use of usage data for advertising purposes.

You have the option of restricting the processing of your data in the general settings of your X account and under ‘Data protection and security’. On mobile devices (smartphones, tablet computers), you can also restrict X’s access to contact and calendar data, photos, location data, etc. in the settings options there. However, this depends on the operating system used.
